The 20th Australasian Fluid Mechanics Conference will be held at the University of Western Australia from December 5th to 8th 2016. The conference has been going on for over 50 years and covers all areas of fluid mechanics. Details of the program can be found at:
Prof Greg Ivey and UWA, AIMS and GU colleagues are on board the RV Falkor in April studying the physical connections between the reefs in the Timor Sea. You can find out more about the project here:
Associate Professor Nicole Jones and her PhD student Tamara Schlosser will spend most of February 2015 on board the 85m US research vessel the Roger Revelle where they will work with scientists from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, Oregon State University and University of Alaska.
